They’re still here.
No money. No plan.
Too young to leave, too old to just sit around.

The days drag. Like gum on pavement.
Same streets. Same window. Same heat.

They walk the blocks they’ve walked a thousand times.
Counting cracks in the road.
Leaning on walls.
Those grey walls.
Laughing about nothing. Saying nothing.

Sometimes they touch — by accident.
Or maybe not.
Neither of them knows what it means.

Time doesn’t move. It stalls.
