In two visual chapters, the same characters move from spontaneous play to deliberate selfexpression. While the setting stays the same, the mood changes completely: carefree movement becomes composed posing, reflecting how our relationship with ourselves evolves overtime.
At the heart of the project are the handcrafted Dutch Foam Hats. Their sculptural, playful forms blur the line between fashion and art. They symbolize creativity, individuality and the freedom to constantly reinvent oneself, making them the visual connection between both chapters. The project is relevant because it addresses a universal experience: growing up often means balancing authenticity with the expectations of society. FOAM asks whether the playful curiosity of childhood truly disappears-or simply takes on a new form.
