Who hasn’t dreamt of arriving – quite literally – on the runway by train? Haderlump made this dream a reality, transporting the audience at Berlin Fashion Week with an old vintage S-Bahn to the unveiling of their Autumn/Winter 2025 collection “SOLIVAGANT”. The charming yet often overlooked train station Schöneweide served as an inspiration for this, evoking the elegant style of travel of the 1950s. This setting beautifully merges history and modernity, much like Haderlump’s latest collection.

Haderlump takes a journey through time

Speaking of charming yet often overlooked.

For those unfamiliar with the collection title and who don’t stash a dictionary in their bedside table, “SOLIVAGANT” refers to a person who wanders alone, seeking and exploring – primarily used during Victorian England. The term was also associated with individuals in military roles and similar occupations. The word’s powerful and fluid pronunciation reflects throughout the collection, infused with elements of Berlin, modernity, and rich inspirations from early 1950s and 19th-century designs. This blend of styles, seemingly contradictory across different eras and societal contexts, comes together harmoniously through the refined creations of Haderlump’s designer Johann Ehrhardt.

Floor-Length Coats Take Center Stage

The floor-length coat reigns supreme in Haderlump’s AW25 runway, an essential piece for any fashion aficionado. With striking silhouettes and a boxy cut crafted from heavy, luxurious fabrics, these coats create an ethereal presence, enveloping models in an enchanting aura. The intricate detailing, including cleverly placed embellishments and military-inspired buttons, captivates the audience. Bomber jackets, a signature of Haderlump, also grace the runway, paired with organza shirts or presented in a timeless aesthetic.

Equally impressive are the headpieces designed in collaboration with Polish milliner Aleksander Jurczak. These handmade creations, reminiscent of fisherman’s hats, feature a linen-like fabric that takes on a mystical quality due to their dark hues.

Haderlump's dresses command attention

The dresses in this collection are nothing short of majestic, oscillating between a modern sheer knit dress and a classic corseted ball gown. This juxtaposition highlights the strength and sensuality of femininity in a strikingly endearing manner. The diverse selection of models, each with their unique presence, powerfully traverses the expansive runway, showcasing the importance of diversity at Berlin Fashion Week.

Chrome baby carriages: Haderlump offers fashion for all ages

A personal favorite of the show was the chrome baby carriage, effortlessly pushed by a male model dressed in a navy blue pinstripe coat and matching hoodie. This visual, like the rest of the presentation, plays with traditional gender roles and fluidity in contemporary fashion.

Haderlump’s AW25 collection skillfully navigates the space between the past and the future, leaving us with an optimistic glimpse into the evolving world of fashion.
