SF1OG’s SS26 collection arrives like a bruise beneath silk at Berlin Fashion Week last Tuesday. It’s tense, tender, and utterly arresting. Against the backdrop of a raw, unfinished construction site near Kurfürstendamm, creative director Rosa Dahl delivers her most emotionally charged collection to date. It captures a mood, a memory, a collective teenage fever dream reimagined in lace and leather.

Sf1og Is All About Being Madly in Love for SS26

Titled only by the date of the show, July 1st, SF1OG’s Spring/Summer 2026 doesn’t need a name to set the tone. The concept is love. And with it obsession, collapse and decay. Inspired by historic paintings of women driven mad by longing, Dahl channels that spiraling intensity into garments that teeter between vulnerability and control, softness and structure.

As guests enter the concrete shell of the venue, set designer John Andrews transforms the cold space into a ghostly forest of fabric pillars. They hang from the ceiling like weeping willows, printed with gothic calligraphy and soft pinks, enveloping the audience in a world that felt as intimate as it was collapsing. Gavriel August’s soundscape pulses through the room in waves – somewhere between cathedral and teenage bedroom.

Jeans Are Getting Down Lower than Low According to SF1OG

The collection itself is a study in emotional contrast. A model opens the show in burlap-toned co-ord set made of baggy drawstring pants and a boxy jacket graffitied with antique typography. The look feels like a relic from a post-love apocalypse. From there, silhouettes oscillate: Corseted tops are paired with dangerously low-cut jeans. Sheer knit shawls cling to bare chests. Leather jackets are intentionally frayed, as if unraveling under the weight of feeling too much.

Romantic references abound, but none of them are sweet. Think indie sleaze meets medieval mourning. A harlequin leather coat was worn with matching low-slung briefs, nodding to both jesters and heartbreakers. A delicate corset dress in chalk white trails behind like a ghost of something once cherished. Black velvet shorts paired with lace sleeves and combat boots blur the line between soldier and siren.

Dahl’s use of texture is key: shredded lace, distressed silk, sequined underlayers that flash under harsh lighting like fleeting moments of joy. Many pieces are crafted from repurposed antique fabrics – each look carrying its own weight of memory and history. Custom-developed leathers and wool give the garments a bruised richness, while handmade finishes add intimacy to even the toughest silhouettes.

The accessories feel almost talismanic. Arrow headpieces protrude from buns and hairline – Cupid’s tools turned into weapons. Gloves dangle from hips like an afterthought of romance lost. Even the shoes tell a story: a reimagined Converse Chuck, now in Italian leather, ground many of the looks with a modern, armored edge.

Casting, led by Kyra Sophie Wilhelmseder, brings depth to the collection. Faces aren’t chosen for perfection—they are chosen for presence. Models walked not like mannequins, but like characters from a shared fever dream: vulnerable, angry, radiant, undone.

With SS26, SF1OG asks a bold question: What if heartbreak isn’t something to hide, but something to wear? The collection offers no resolution, only reflection. Rosa Dahl doesn’t design garments. She designs states of being. And this season, those states are beautiful, broken, and completely unforgettable.
