SF1OG combines elements of military and indie fashion
What makes a uniform? Is it a tool for conformity, or a marker of identity? SF1OG’s latest collection dives deep into these questions, fusing the precision of military tailoring with the raw energy of rock and indie subcultures. The silhouettes are sharper, more structured, evoking a sense of authority while retaining the brand’s signature nonchalance. Unexpected material contrasts – plush, luxurious fabrics clashing against coarse textures – create a dialogue between past and present. Studded leather appliqués, reminiscent of vintage band jackets, are contrasted with sleek tailoring, nodding to the uniform as both an institutional staple and a badge of belonging. Studs, pins and other embellishments take cues from punk aesthetics, transforming each look into a statement of defiance and identity. Classic Chuck Taylors receive a makeover with distressed textures and metallic studs, embodying an effortlessly worn-in, rebellious attitude.

SF1OG announces the return of shutter glasses
Smokey eyes, skinny jeans, fur-trimmed jackets, and the return of the iconic shutter classes – crafted in collaboration with Newformat using cutting-edge 3D printing technology – transported the audience straight back to the untamed nightlife of the early 2010s. Yet, in true SF1OG fashion, this wasn’t mere nostalgia but a thoughtful evolution, bridging eras and aesthetics to create something undeniably fresh.
Since its Berlin Fashion Week debut in 2022, SF1OG has been a leader in promoting sustainability and craftsmanship, seamlessly blending past influences with today’s cultural pulse. This balance of Zeitgeist and historical references has positioned the label as one of Berlin’s most compelling voices in fashion. Halle am Berghain, with its industrial grandeur and underground mystique, served as the perfect backdrop for this exploration of identity and rebellion. The venue’s raw concrete walls and dim lighting amplified the collection’s gritty yet luxurious appeal. The models, striding with effortless confidence, embodied the SF1OG ethos: a generation unafraid to reinterpret the past while shaping the aesthetics of tomorrow.

The origins of SF1OG
Founded by Rosa Marga Dahl during her fashion design studies, SF1OG is co-directed by Jacob Langemeyer. The label’s name, ‘SF1OG’, stands for ‘Seitenflügel 1. Obergeschoss’—a reference to its humble beginnings in Rosa’s one-room flat. In October 2023, the brand was awarded the UGG Culture Changemaker Prize for its dedication to driving positive change in the fashion industry. Its stockists span the globe, with retailers in Berlin, New York, Tokyo (coming soon), Seoul, and Taipei, cementing its place as an international force in contemporary fashion.
